09-28-11 - RANGE OF LIGHT WILDERNESS

Fall begs for good music, preferably something cruisey and acoustic, and equally good for driving and sitting on a patio or porch with a hot cup of coffee. The wife delivered all of the above to our household with Range of Light Wilderness’ combo album “Triangle & AH” last week. I haven’t been able to turn it off since. “Triangle” hits it just right, with enough longhair, dust and wood smoke to compliment any bright, shining fall day.
There’s something in there that makes me think of the best early Wailers and basically everything else you could ever want to hear while watching the leaves change. Both albums were apparently recorded in Big Sur, but damn if it doesn’t work in Maine at this time of year.

You can pick up the whole package in one immaculate cassette tape right now for only $6 from Gnome Life Records. No tape player? No problem, mp3 downloads included. Copper foil embossed, recycled cardboard, ultimate autumn headiness. Checking out their page on the Gnome Life site is kind of complicated because there’s no direct url, but go to www.gnomelife.com–>artists, and then click on their page.
