12-14-11 - A LONG TIME ON

2 1/2 years. It’s a long time in any context, and certainly when it comes to shaping your first surf craft. Working on it meant building a pair of saw horses, then lugging them out of the basement every time I found a moment to shape, hone and sand. Still, with nothing but hand tools and winter fast approaching, I finished it a couple of weeks ago.

Sliding on it will be something else all together. A fun new challenge, something to keep me engaged when other things aren’t.
