Wool Wood and Whiskey is a catchall for inspiration and creative fixations and, when it comes down to it, my love for the place I live. I’m a  writer from Portland, Maine — by way of Portland, OR and San Francisco.

WW&W is about authenticity. Lo-tech, lo-fi & analog. Clean, classic lines. The woods and the sea. Simplicity. The well-loved and the well-worn. The plan,  process &  payoff. Immaculate craftsmanship in any form — especially clothing and recreational vehicles. Nature and the never-ending urge to escape. Wool. Wood. Whiskey.

As of November 2010, Wool Wood and Whiskey will also feature rugged vintage clothing for men harvested from the wilds of Maine. Original L.L. Bean, Pendleton, Woolrich and workwear meant for actual work. Hard to find, classic brands and no modern reproductions. Ever.
